Silvia Cohen (born 24 April 1959) is an Italian actress. Life and career Born in Paris into a family of Jewish origins, at young age Cohen moved with her family to Milan, where she studied acting at the Accademia dei Filodrammatici. She debuted on stage at just 18 years old in 1977, and made her film debut in 1983 in Pasquale Festa Campanile's comedy film '' Segni particolari: bellissimo''. In the early 1990s, she started appearing in main roles, in art films and high-profile television productions. Accademia Dei Filodrammatici
The Accademia dei Filodrammatici (literally "Academy of Drama Lovers"), is a drama school located in Milan, Italy and founded in 1796. It is the oldest theatre school in Italy. The theatre was designed by neoclassic architect Luigi Canonica, based on Giuseppe Piermarini’s drawings. The original structure was replaced in 1904 with an Art Nouveau building by architects Laveni and Avati. Of that structure, only the façade was preserved, with stucco and iron decorations and floral weaving, typical of the time. The interior was completely rebuilt by the architect Luigi Caccia Dominioni in the 1960s, due to its partial destruction during Second World War bombings. Pasquale Festa Campanile (28 July 1927 – 25 February 1986) was an Italian screenwriter, film director and novelist, best known as a prominent exponent of the ''commedia all'italiana'' genre. Life and career Born at Melfi, in the province of Potenza, he moved to Rome at young age. He started as a writer and literary critic. ''La nonna Sabella'', one of his novels, was later adapted by Dino Risi into the movie of the same name, internationally known as ''Oh! Sabella'' (1957).
