Silverstein (band)
Silverstein () is a Canadian post-hardcore band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, who the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. They have released a total of eleven studio albums, seven EPs, a compilation album and a live DVD/CD. The band achieved moderate success with their second studio album, '' Discovering the Waterfront'', which was nominated for a Juno Award and reached No. 34 on the ''Billboard'' 200 charts, with the following two albums charting at similar positions. Silverstein has sold over one million albums worldwide. Silverstein's lineup remained unchanged from May 2001 to July 2012, then consisting of lead vocalist Shane Told, lead guitarist Neil Boshart, rhythm guitarist Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. Bayside is an American punk rock band from the Bayside, Queens, neighborhood of New York City, formed in 2000 by lead vocalist Anthony Raneri. The group also consists of lead guitarist Jack O'Shea, bassist Nick Ghanbarian, and drummer Chris Guglielmo. Hawthorne Heights is an American rock band formed in Dayton, Ohio in 2001. The International Music Feed was a music television channel founded by Andy Schuon, who served as Chief Executive Officer. IMF launched in 2005 broadcasting in the United States. IMF had a broad music policy focusing on music from around the world. The channel ceased operating in March 2008. It was the only channel in the US that focused on combining music from American artists with music from other countries across the globe. IMF maintained the increasingly rare format based very largely on playing music videos rather than other programming. ''Decade (Live at the El Mocambo)'' is the first live album by Canadian post-Hardcore band Silverstein, released on June 8, 2010 on Victory. Background and release On April 23, 2010, the band announced through their official Facebook page that ''Decade (Live at the El Mocambo)'' was to be released on June 8, 2010. It was filmed and recorded during March 18–21, 2010 during the band's 10th anniversary shows. The show was filmed by Robby Starbuck, who had previously directed the music videos of "Vices" and "American Dream" for the band. Four cameras were used, presumably limited by the size of the venue.
