Silver Planet was a dance music record label active throughout the late nineties and early 2000s, amassing a back catalogue of over seventy recordings, including the earliest releases of DJ and producer James Holden. Timo Maas also released on the label. James Holden (producer)
James Alexander Goodale Holden (born 7 June 1979) is an English electronic music artist and DJ. After beginning his career as a DJ and producer, Holden has moved extensively into live performance and founded his own record label, Border Community. Early career Holden grew up in Market Bosworth, Leicestershire, and was first introduced to electronic music by a physics teacher at school. Holden studied mathematics at Oxford University. He started his career in 1999 at age 19 and swiftly gained wider recognition with the release of trance single "Horizons", which he created with the freeware software Buzz. This "crossover anthem of the summer of 1999" was picked up by Pete Tong, John Digweed and Nick Warren, quickly propelling Holden to a wider audience. Timo Maas
Timo Maas (born July 27, 1969) is a German DJ/ producer and remixer. His remix of Azzido Da Bass's single " Dooms Night" helped launch his career in 2000. In its wake, he also released ''Music for the Maases Volume 1'', a mix album consisting of many of his previous tracks and remixes. After another mix album called ''Connected'' for Paul Oakenfold's imprint Perfecto, Maas released his own debut studio album ''Loud'' in 2002. The album was produced by German dance music producer Martin Buttrich (also known for his work with Loco Dice), and featured guest appearances from Kelis, Neneh Cherry and Placebo's Brian Molko. In a career spanning over 30 years, Maas has been collaborated with and remixed many artists such as Paul McCartney, Depeche Mode, Finley Quaye, Fatboy Slim, Garbage, Jamiroquai, Madonna, Moby, Moloko, Muse, Roger Sanchez and Tori Amos.
