Silver Oak University is a premier university located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It was recognized as a University in 2019 by the University Grants Commission. Announced as a State Private University (under Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009) Silver Oak was established in 2009 as an affiliated college and gradually grew into Silver Oak Group of Institutes. It is ranked 7th among top 10 Engineering Colleges in India by The Times of India and awarded as "Most Innovative Engineering College" by 94.3 My FM. The university offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the discipline of Engineering, Management, Arts and Science. University Grants Commission (India)
University Grants Commission (UGC; ISO: ''Viśvavidyālaya Anudāna Āyōga'') is a statutory body under Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. It was set up in accordance to the UGC Act 1956 and is charged with coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of higher education in India. It provides recognition to universities in India, and disbursements of funds to such recognized universities and colleges. The UGC headquarters are in New Delhi, and it has six regional centres in Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Bengaluru. Ahmedabad (Amdavad) district is a district comprises the city of Ahmedabad, in the central part of the state of Gujarat in western India. It is the seventh most populous district in India (out of 739).
