Sumatra is one of the Sunda Islands of western Indonesia. Tanjungbalai (Indonesian: ''Kota Tanjungbalai''), formerly known as ''Tanjungbalai-Asahan'' is a city in North Sumatra province, Indonesia, on the estuary of the Asahan River.
