Sigurd Winge
Sigurd Winge (14 March 1909 – 22 January 1970) was a Norwegian Painting, painter and visual artist who worked with various media. He was born in Germany, and the father of actor Stein Winge. Among his works are ''Terror'' from 1942 and ''Kvinnehode (Flyalarm)'' from 1944/1945. He was a professor at the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts from 1969 to 1970. Stein Winge
Stein Winge (10 November 1940 – 26 February 2024) was a Norwegian stage producer, theatre director and International Emmy-Nominated actor. Biography Winge produced numerous plays and operas, and was theatre director at the National Theatre from 1990 to 1992. He was decorated as a Knight, First Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav in 2001. He was the son of Sigurd Winge, husband of Kari Onstad and father of Viktoria Winge. On 16 August 2008, the opera ''Tosca'' premiered at OscarsborgOpera with Stein Winge as director. Norwegian National Academy Of Fine Arts
The Norwegian National Academy of Arts () was a former Norwegian tertiary institution in Oslo, offering studies in the area of fine art. Along with four other academies, it merged to form the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (, KHiO) in 1996. Although now a faculty of KHiO, the Norwegian National Academy of the Arts is still referred to simply as ''Kunstakademiet'' () by both staff and students. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957. His paper ''Omkring Bǫglungasǫgur'', on the Bagler sagas, was printed in 1959. In December 1957 he married Karen Blauuw, who would later become a professor. The ''Great Norwegian Encyclopedia'' (, abbreviated ''SNL'') is a Norwegian-language online encyclopedia. It has several subdivisions, including the Norsk biografisk leksikon. The online encyclopedia is among the most-read Norwegian published sites, with up to 3.5 million unique visitors per month. Paper editions (1978–2007) The ''SNL'' was created in 1978, when the two publishing houses Aschehoug and Gyldendal merged their encyclopedias and created the company Kunnskapsforlaget.
