Sigurd Pedersen
Sigurd Pedersen (26 January 1893 – 16 July 1968) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Espa. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from the Market towns of Hedmark and Oppland counties in 1950, and was re-elected on two occasions. He had previously served in the position of deputy representative during the terms 1928–1930 and 1934–1936. Pedersen was a member of Vang municipality council in 1925. The Storting ( ; ) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. Market Towns Of Hedmark And Oppland Counties
The Market towns of Hedmark and Oppland counties () was an electoral district for parliamentary elections in Norway. It comprised the market towns () of Hamar and Kongsvinger in Hedmark county and Lillehammer and Gjøvik in Oppland county. The district was established ahead of the 1921 Norwegian parliamentary election following the change from single member constituencies to plural member constituencies in 1919. Following changes in the national policy on market towns in 1952, these electoral districts were abolished ahead of the 1953 Norwegian parliamentary election. Instead, each county became one electoral district, and for election purposes the towns were integrated into their respective counties. Vang, Hedmark
Vang is a former municipality in the old Hedmark county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1992 when it became part of Hamar Municipality. The administrative centre of the municipality was at Fredvang. This site, however became part of the town of Hamar in 1946, so after that time, the municipal administration was actually located outside the municipal borders in the neighboring municipality. The main church for the municipality was Vang Church in the village of Ridabu. Gåsbu Ski Center lies in Vang Almenning, and has served as the backup venue for the ''Holmenkollrennene''. This arena has been described as the cradle of all Nordic ski competition, with more than 112 years of international ski competition.
