Sigfrit Steiner
Sigfrit Steiner (31 October 1906 – 21 March 1988) was a Swiss actor. His first stage performance was in 1928 in Gera. He performed in more than one hundred films. He was married to journalist and author Anne Rose Katz. ''Fusilier Wipf'' (German: ''Füsilier Wipf'') is a 1938 Cinema of Switzerland, Swiss drama film directed by Hermann Haller (film editor), Hermann Haller and Leopold Lindtberg and starring Paul Hubschmid, Heinrich Gretler and Robert Trösch. When the First World War breaks out, a hairdresser's assistant in neutral Switzerland is mobilised for border protection duty. Serving in the army, he grows from a boy into a man and develops a greater love for his country. The film was part of the intellectual spiritual defence of Switzerland during the era as the country maintained a neutral stance in the years leading up to the Second World War, which began a year after the film was released. ''Duet for One'' is a 1986 British drama film adapted from the play, a two-hander by Tom Kempinski, about a world-famous concert violinist named Stephanie Anderson who is suddenly struck with multiple sclerosis. It is set in London, and directed by Andrei Konchalovsky. Ludwig I or Louis I (; 25 August 1786 – 29 February 1868) was King of Bavaria from 1825 until the German revolutions of 1848–49, 1848 revolutions in the German states.
