Siemens S200
The Siemens S200 is a high-floor light rail, light rail vehicle (LRV) manufactured by Siemens Mobility in Florin, California, beginning service in 2016. The S200 succeeds earlier Siemens high-floor LRV models, including the Siemens SD-100 and SD-160, SD-100/SD-160 and the Siemens SD-400 and SD-460, SD-400/SD-460. Its low-floor counterpart is the Siemens S700 and S70, Siemens S700. The S200 is designed specifically for the North American market, and is built to the specifications of each individual operator. Siemens S700 And S70
The Siemens S70 and its successor, the Siemens S700, are a series of articulated low-floor light-rail vehicles (LRV) and modern streetcars manufactured for the United States market by Siemens Mobility, a division of German conglomerate Siemens AG. The series also includes a European tram-train variant, the Siemens Avanto. The S70 was manufactured from 2002 to 2017 and the improved S700 from 2014 to present, but the latter model designation was only introduced in 2019 and then retroactively applied to certain versions of the S70 built in earlier years. In this market, it competes mainly with Alstom and Kinki Sharyo low-floor LRVs and streetcars manufactured by Brookville and Inekon. CTrain (previously branded C-Train) is a light rail system in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. A loading gauge is a diagram or physical structure that defines the maximum height and width dimensions in railway vehicles and their loads. The Siemens SD660, originally known as the Siemens SD600, is a double-articulated, 70%-low-floor light rail vehicle (LRV) manufactured by Siemens Transportation Systems. It was the first low-floor light rail vehicle to be used in the United States. It first entered service in 1997 with its only operator, TriMet, on the MAX light rail system in Portland, Oregon, United States.
