Stock car racing events in the NASCAR Xfinity Series has been held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire from 1990 to 2024. The race was held as a 200 lap () race under the SciAps 200 name for sponsorship reasons. Christopher Bell is the last winner at New Hampshire for the Xfinity Series. History When first held in 1990, the race was 300 laps. It was scaled back to 250 laps, the length of the 1990-1992 fall NHMS race, starting in 1993, and again to its current 200 laps in 1996. Tommy Ellis
Tommy Ellis (born August 8, 1947) is an American former stock car racing driver who competed in the 1970s and 1980s. Often referred to as "Terrible" Tommy Ellis for his rough tactics, he won the last national late model sportsman championship in 1981, the final year before the format changed from "points chasing" late model sportsman racing at various short tracks across the country (now known as the Whelen All-American Series) to the current touring format, currently known as the Xfinity Series, the next year. He won the successor series in 1988. Racing career Ellis's success (12 poles and 8 wins) in the first two seasons of the Busch Series earned him a shot at a Winston Cup ride. Driving for most of three seasons in the Chevrolet camp, his best finish was an eighth at Dover in 1986. NASCAR Xfinity Series At Darlington
Stock car racing events in the NASCAR Xfinity Series has been held at Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina since the series' inaugural season in 1982. Initially only one race was held, but starting in 1984 the track hosted two races per year until 2004 when the track lost its fall weekend date as a result of the realignments caused by the Ferko lawsuit. A realignment in 2015 moved the spring race to the pre-Ferko fall slot. The emergency schedule realignment for 2020 resulted in Darlington regaining its second Xfinity date, which became permanent starting from 2021. The track is scheduled to downscale to just one race in 2025. The Cabo Wabo 250 was a NASCAR Xfinity Series race that took place at Michigan International Speedway. It was held on the same weekend as the track's NASCAR Cup Series race, the FireKeepers Casino 400. History First held in 1992, the race was a 200 mile event from its inception through 1999, and was extended to starting with the 2000 race. The 2007 Carfax 250 was the first-ever carbon neutrality, carbon neutral stock car event. Through partnerships with The Conservation Fund and Carbonfund.org, Carfax carbon offset, offset all carbon emissions generated by the race, including carbon emissions from fans attending the race. On May 31, 2023, it was announced that Cabo Wabo would be the title sponsor of the 2023 race.
