Sidetrack is a gay bar on Halsted Street in Chicago, in the U.S. state of Illinois. Description Sidetrack is a two-story, bar that spans eight storefronts. It has six rooms and a rooftop deck. Sidetrack hosts themed video nights. History Established in 1982, Sidetrack is owned by Art Johnston and Jose "Pepe" Peña, In 2013, Sidetrack boycotted Stolichnaya, Stoli Vodka over Russia's anti-gay laws. In 2023, the business announced stopped selling Anheuser-Busch products as part of the 2023 Bud Light boycott, Bud Light boycott. Reception The ''Chicago Sun-Times'' has called Sidetrack "one of the world's top gay bars". Sidetrack ranked first in ''Time Out (magazine), Time Out Chicago'''s 2023 list of the city's best LGBTQ+ bars. Railway track ( and UIC terminology) or railroad track (), also known as permanent way () or "P way" ( and Indian English), is the structure on a railway or railroad consisting of the rails, fasteners, sleepers (railroad ties in American English) and ballast (or slab track), plus the underlying subgrade. It enables trains to move by providing a dependable, low-friction surface on which steel wheels can roll. Early tracks were constructed with wooden or cast-iron rails, and wooden or stone sleepers. Since the 1870s, rails have almost universally been made from steel. Sidetrack Bar and Grill is a restaurant on the east end of Depot Town in Ypsilanti, Michigan, at 56 East Cross Street.
