Siddipet is a city in the Indian state of Telangana. It is a municipality and serves as the headquarters of the Siddipet district. Telangana Praja Samithi or Telangana Peoples Convention was an Indian political party which fought for statehood for the Telangana region. History TPS was founded in 1969. The decennial Census of India has been conducted 16 times, as of 2021. While it has been undertaken every 10 years, beginning in 1872 under British Viceroy Lord Mayo, the first complete census was taken in 1881.
