Siay, officially the Municipality of Siay ( ceb, Lungsod sa Siay; Chavacano: ''Municipalidad de Siay''; tl, Bayan ng Siay), is a 2nd class municipality of the Philippines, municipality in the Philippine Province, province of Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 40,585 people. The municipality is located in the Legislative districts of Zamboanga Sibugay, 2nd District and the eastern part of the province of Zamboanga Sibugay. It is 38 kilometers from Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, Ipil, 220 kilometers to Dipolog, and 180 kilometers east to Zamboanga City. It is geographically situated within a map coordination of 741 east & 122* 53*west. Zamboanga Sibugay, officially the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay ( ceb, Lalawigan sa Zamboanga Sibugay; tl, Lalawigan ng Zamboanga Sibugay; Chavacano: ''Provincia de Zamboanga Sibugay''), is a province in the Philippines located in the Zamboanga Peninsula region in Mindanao. Legislative Districts Of Zamboanga Sibugay
The legislative districts of Zamboanga Sibugay are the representations of the province of Zamboanga Sibugay in the Congress of the Philippines. The province is currently represented in the lower house of the Congress through its first and second congressional districts. Poverty is measured in different ways by different bodies, both governmental and nongovernmental. Measurements can be absolute, which references a single standard, or relative, which is dependent on context. Ipil, officially the Municipality of Ipil ( ceb, Lungsod sa Ipil; Chavacano: ''Municipalidad de Ipil''), is a 1st class municipality and capital of the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 89,401 people. It is the most populous municipality of Zamboanga Sibugay. Ipil Airport is located at Barangay Sanito, along the Pan Philippine Highway, and it is the only airport in Zamboanga Sibugay. History Ipil used to be known as Sanito, a place under barrio Bacalan under the Municipality of Kabasalan. Chavacano
Chavacano or Chabacano is a group of Spanish-based creole language varieties spoken in the Philippines. The variety spoken in Zamboanga City, located in the southern Philippine island group of Mindanao, has the highest concentration of speakers. Other currently existing varieties are found in Cavite City and Ternate, located in the Cavite province on the island of Luzon. Chavacano is the only Spanish-based creole in Asia. The different varieties of Chavacano differ in certain aspects like vocabulary but they are generally mutually intelligible by speakers of these varieties, especially between neighboring varieties. While a majority of the lexicon of the different Chavacano varieties derive from Spanish, their grammatical structures are generally similar to other Philippine languages.
