''Siamese Friends'' is the tenth solo album by singer/songwriter Ian Matthews. The album was recorded at Chipping Norton Recording Studios in Oxfordshire, with some overdubs added at Maison Rouge in Fulham. The original vinyl album was released in 1979 on the Rockburgh Records label in the UK (ROC 107), various labels across Europe, and on Mushroom Records (MRS-5014) in the US and Canada. ''Siamese Friends'' was reissued on CD by Line Records in Germany in 1987 and a remastered version was issued by BGO records in 2005 as a 2-on-1 remaster coupled with '' Stealin' Home''. Iain Matthews
Iain Matthews (born Ian Matthews MacDonald, 16 June 1946) is an English musician and singer-songwriter. He was an original member of the British folk rock band Fairport Convention from 1967 to 1969 before leaving to form his own band, Matthews Southern Comfort, which had a UK number one in 1970 with their cover of Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock". In 1979, his recording of Terence Boylan's "Shake It" reached No. 13 on the US charts. Born in Barton-upon-Humber, Lincolnshire, Matthews was known in the 1960s as Ian MacDonald. He changed his name to Ian Matthews (his mother's maiden name) in 1968 to avoid confusion with Ian McDonald of King Crimson. ''Stealin' Home'' is the ninth solo album by British singer/songwriter Ian Matthews. The album is the first of Matthews' four solo albums released by Rockburgh Records. Matthews produced the album with the label's founder, Sandy Roberton, who previously produced '' In Search of Amelia Earhart'' (1972) for Matthews' band Plainsong, and later served as a producer for Matthews' solo albums ''Siamese Friends'' (1979), ''Spot Of Interference'' (1983), and ''Shook'' (1984). Jules Mark Shear (born March 7, 1952) is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He wrote the Cyndi Lauper hit single " All Through the Night", the Bangles' hit " If She Knew What She Wants", and the Ignatius Jones and Allison Moyet hit " Whispering Your Name" and charted a hit as a performer with "Steady" in 1985. Mick Weaver (born 16 June 1944, Bolton, Lancashire, England) is an English session musician, best known for his playing of the Hammond B3 organ. Career Weaver's band performed as Wynder K. Frog and became popular on the student union and club circuit of the mid 1960s. A brief merging of this band with Herbie Goins and the Night-Timers took his work to a higher level. Wynder K. Joel Tepp is an American multi-instrumentalist (guitar, harmonica, clarinet) with a 40-year history in live and recorded music. He was born in 1948. He majored in criminology at UC Berkeley, where he was a gymnast, a gold medalist on the pommel horse and a member of the 1968 NCAA national championship team along with Dan Millman ('' Way of the Peaceful Warrior'').
