Shōnin Yokkyū
''Shōnin Yokkyū'' (承認欲求) is the tenth studio album by Japanese visual kei rock band SID, released on September 4, 2019, by Ki/oon Records. Promotion and release The album and its release date were announced in July 2019, along with teaser images. A month before the premiere, four tracks were distributed for free for demonstration: "Blood Vessel", "Kimiiro no Asa", "Deai = Kiseki" and the title track "Shōnin Yokkyū", that had its music video was released on YouTube on the 21st. Additionally, a handshake event with the members was held for album pre-purchasers on September 7 and 8 in Tokyo and Osaka. "Shōnin Yokkyū" was released on September 4 in three editions: the regular CD-only edition containing ten tracks, the limited edition A with a bonus DVD containing the music video for "Shōnin Yokkyū", and the limited edition B with a 32-page bonus booklet. Sid (band)
(stylized in all caps when romanized) is a Japanese visual kei rock band, formed in 2003 and signed to Ki/oon Records. Formed by Mao, Shinji, Aki and Yūya, they are known for producing anime songs, such as for ''Fullmetal Alchemist'', ''Bleach'', '' Black Butler'', and ''Magi''. Their first album, '' Renai'', was produced with Sakura (ex. L'Arc~en~Ciel). After reaching Oricon chart top 5 for the first time with " Mitsuyubi" (2007), Sid made their major label debut in 2008 with " Monochrome no Kiss" and the gold disc '' Hikari'', which includes one of their most famous songs "Uso". In 2010, they won the Billboard Japan Top Pop Artist award and reached the top of Oricon with ''Sid 10th Anniversary Best'' compilation. Mao (singer)
is a Japanese singer, known for being the lead singer of visual kei rock band SID and writer of all the lyrics. SID became popular in Japan in mid-2010 with the album ''Hikari'', which includes the anime songs " Monochrome no Kiss" and "Uso" with lyrics written by Mao. He began a solo career in 2016 using the name Mao from SID, debuting at the top 10 of Oricon charts. On July 3, 2021, he was appointed ambassador of his hometown, Kurume. Career 1995–2008: Early years and SID Mao joined his first band in high school and moved to Tokyo with the group. After creating a band called Dildo around 1995, he formed Shula in 1999. The band had three members (vocalist, guitarist and bassist) and had a pop-oriented musical style and visual kei costumes. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. A Digital Albums Chart based on download sales was established on November 19, 2016. On December 24, 2018, Oricon introduced a Combined Albums Chart based on album-equivalent units. It counts physical sales, digital sales and streaming.
