Shyama Charan Tripura is an Indian politician and social activist from Tripura. He was a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Chawamanu in 1998 and 2003. He won from Chhawmanu twice and from Santibazar for one time as a Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA). He was an active voice for tribal rights. Tripura (, Bengali: ) is a state in Northeast India. The third-smallest state in the country, it covers ; and the seventh-least populous state with a population of 36.71 lakh ( 3.67 million). It is bordered by Assam and Mizoram to the east and by Bangladesh to the north, south and west. Harinath Debbarma
Harinath Debbarma (born 30 June 1933) is a Tipra- Indian politician, activist and statesman from Tripura. Harinath Debbarma founded the Tripura Upajati Juba Samiti (TUJS) in 1967 along with Shyama Charan Tripura. Later he founded the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura in 1997. Harinath Debbarma was also a Member of Legislative Assembly from the Charilam constituency in Tripura and the former CEM of TTAADC (1990). Indigenous People's Front Of Tripura
The Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) is a regional political party in Tripura, India. It is a member of the National Democratic Alliance and North-East Democratic Alliance. The party was merged into the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT) in 2001, However diverged out in 2009. Tripura Upajati Juba Samiti ("Tripura Tribal Youth Association") was a political party in the Indian state of Tripura from 1977–2001. During 1988-93, the Indian National Congress formed a coalition government with the TUJS at the Tripura Legislative Assembly. In 2002, TUJS merged with Indigenous People's Front of Tripura to form Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra.
