Shyam Rajak
Shyam Rajak is an Indian Leader from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), previously serving as the Minister for Industries in the Government of Bihar under Nitish Kumar. He has previously served as Minister for Food and Consumer Protection from 2010-2015 in the JD(U) Government. He has also served as Minister of State for Energy, Public Relations Department and Law in Bihar government in the RJD rule under Rabri Devi. He is whip for main opposition party in Bihar legislative Assembly . Political career In June 2009, Rajak quit his post as national general secretary of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He joined the Janata Dal (United) party and served as National President of Akhil Bharatiya Dhobi Mahasangh. Rajak has represented Phulwari seat more than once. He was one of the key leaders of the previous RJD party led by Lalu Prasad Yadav. Rajak was a former minister in Nitish Kumar's government. The Rashtriya Janata Dal ( RJD; translation: National People's Party) is an Indian political party, mainly based in the state of Bihar. The party was founded in 1997 by Lalu Prasad Yadav. The party's support base has traditionally been Other Backward Classes, Dalit, Dalits and Muslims and it is considered a political champion of the Caste, lower castes. In 2008, RJD received the status of recognized national level party following its performance in north-eastern states. RJD was derecognised as a national party on 30 July 2010. Lalu Prasad (born 11 June 1948) is an Indian politician who served as the chief minister of Bihar from 1990 to 1997 with a brief interruption in 1995 and as the union minister for Railways from 2004 to 2009.
