Shuaib Oba AbdulRaheem (born October 22, 1948) is a Nigerian academic and former vice-chancellor of the University of Ilorin who served as chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC). He completed his doctorate from University of Kent. He is politically associated with the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and its gubernatorial candidate for the 2023 Kwara State gubernatorial election in Kwara State, Nigeria. University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) is a federal government-owned public research university in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. The All Progressives Congress (APC) is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Founded on 6 February 2013 from a merger of Nigeria's three largest opposition parties, the party came to power following the victory of party candidate Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election.
