Shri Rajput Karni Sena
Karni Sena (; Karaṇī sēnā), is an organisation based in Rajasthan, India. Founded by Lokendra Singh Kalvi and led by Raj Shekhawat, Mahipal Singh Makrana, Vishwabandhu Singh Rathore, and others, it takes its name from Karni Mata, who is believed to be incarnation of Hinglaj by her followers. History The origin of the Karni Sena can be traced to attempts by the Rajput leader Lokendra Singh Kalvi to mobilise the Rajput community in 2005. The organisation was formed in on 23 September 2006 in Jhotwara locality of Jaipur, primarily by Rajput youth. The central aim of the newly-formed organisation was to demand caste-based reservation for Rajputs in government jobs and education. Karni Mata
Karni Mata (Hindi language, Hindi: करणी माता, or Bhagwati Karniji Maharaj), known by various names such as Bhagwati, Mehaai, Jagdamba, and Kiniyani is a Devi, Hindu Goddess of power and victory described as a warrior sage, who lived between 14th and 16th centuries in Western Rajasthan. Malik Muhammad Jayasi
Malik Muhammad Jayasi (1477– 1542) was an Indian Sufi poet and pir. He wrote in the Awadhi language, and in the Persian Nastaʿlīq script. His best known work is the epic poem ''Padmavat'' (1540). Biography Much of the information about Jayasi comes from legends, and his date and place of birth are a matter of debate. As the nisba "Jayasi" suggests, he was associated with Jayas, an important Sufi centre of medieval India, in present-day Uttar Pradesh. However, there is debate about whether he was born in Jayas, or migrated there for religious education. The legends describe Jayasi's life as follows: he lost his father at a very young age, and his mother some years later. He became blind in one eye, and his face was disfigured by smallpox. Sufi literature consists of works in various languages that express and advocate the ideas of Sufism.
