Shree Saini (activist)
Shree Saini (born January 6, 1996) is an American model and beauty pageant titleholder. She represented the United States at Miss World 2022, reaching first runner-up and winning the Beauty with a Purpose National Ambassadorship. Saini is the first Asian woman to represent the United States at Miss World. Early life and education Shree Saini was born on January 6, 1996, in Punjab, India, and has lived in the United States since age 5. She first dreamed of competing for the Miss World title at the age of 5. For the first 12 years of her life, while growing up in Moses Lake, Washington, Saini's heartbeat had an average of just 20 beats per minute. Doctors told her she could never dance again but she persisted, and continued training in ballet. Later in life, Saini was involved in a major car crash in Moses Lake that resulted in her suffering from significant facial burns. Miss World 1997, the 47th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 22 November 1997 at the Plantation Club Seychelles in Baie Lazare, Seychelles. 86 delegates competed for the coveted crown. At the end of the event, India's Diana Hayden came out victorious. Hayden went on to win the Miss World 1997 pageant at the age of 24 crowned by Miss World 1996, Irene Skliva. Yasmina Ismail Zaytoun () is a Lebanese beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Lebanon 2022. She represented Lebanon at Miss Universe 2022 and Miss World 2023. She was a runner-up at Miss World 2023. Early life and education Zaytoun is from Kfarchouba, South Lebanon. Her father is from Kfarchouba, South Lebanon, while her mother is of Palestinian descent.
