Showdown (Wentworth)
The sixth season of the Australian television drama series '' Wentworth'' premiered on Showcase on 19 June 2018 and concluded on 4 September 2018. It was executively produced by FremantleMedia's Director of Drama, Jo Porter. The season comprised 12 episodes, and picks up days after the escape of Franky Doyle and Joan Ferguson. This season introduced three new characters portrayed by Leah Purcell, Susie Porter and Rarriwuy Hick. Plot Several days have passed since the daring escape of Franky Doyle and Joan Ferguson. Nicole Da Silva
Nicole da Silva is an Australian stage, film and television actress, best known for her roles as Stella Dagostino in the series '' Rush'' (2008–2011), and as Franky Doyle in the show ''Wentworth'' (2013–2018, 2019). She has made appearances in series such as '' Carla Cametti PD'' (2009) and '' Doctor Doctor'' (2016–2021). Early life and education Nicole da Silva was born in Sydney. Her family is from Portugal. Joan Ferguson (Wentworth)
Joan Ferguson is a fictional character in the Australian television series '' Wentworth,'' who serves as the main antagonist from season two to season five. Joan is portrayed by actress Pamela Rabe. Her storylines centre on rivalries with Will Jackson, Bea Smith and most staff and inmates. She is introduced in Season 2 as the new Governor of Wentworth Prison following Erica Davidson being fired but becomes a prisoner in Season 4 and remained until the end of the fifth season. The character was presumed dead between the sixth and seventh season, when she was revealed to be alive in the latter. She returned in the eighth and final season.
