Shonte Peoples
Shonte Peoples (born August 30, 1972) is a former linebacker in the Canadian Football League (CFL). College career Peoples played as strong safety for Michigan Wolverines football, University of Michigan football team in fall of 1990 to 1993. Professional career In June 1994 Las Vegas Posse season, 1994, Peoples signed with the Las Vegas Posse, an American CFL expansion franchise. He accumulated 14 sacks and 5 fumble recoveries. The Posse folded after the season. In 1995 Birmingham Barracudas season, 1995, Peoples was selected second overall in 1995 CFL Dispersal Draft by another American CFL expansion franchise, the Birmingham Barracudas. He had 15 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries, one of which was for a touchdown. The Barracudas folded after the season. 2002 Saskatchewan Roughriders Season
The 2002 Saskatchewan Roughriders finished in fourth place in the West Division with an 8–10–0–2 record in the final season where overtime losses counted in the standings. The 1998 Calgary Stampeders season was the 41st season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 64th overall. The Stampeders finished first in the West Division for the seventh time in nine seasons with a 12–6 record. Willie Pless
Willie Pless (born February 21, 1964) is a former Canadian football linebacker in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played for the Toronto Argonauts, BC Lions, Edmonton Eskimos, and Saskatchewan Roughriders, winning the 1993 Grey Cup with the Eskimos. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2005. College career Pless played his college football at the University of Kansas. As a Jayhawk starter for only three years (1983–1985) he amassed an amazing 633 tackles. This is not recognized as a record, as the NCAA officially counted tackles starting in 2000, but the present leader ( Rod Davis) has only 526. Being 5 feet 10 inches tall, 210 pounds, Pless was not drafted by the NFL.
