Shobhraj
''Shobhraj'' is a 1986 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film directed by J. Sasikumar and written by Vijayan Karote, starring Mohanlal and Madhavi (actress), Madhavi. The film is a remake of the 1978 Hindi film ''Don (1978 film), Don'' written by Salim–Javed. Mohanlal portrays dual roles as Shobhraj and Dharmaraj. Plot Shobhraj is the leader of an underworld syndicate who in spite of being one of the most wanted on the list of Interpol, remains elusive to the police. Along with the police, He makes a few other enemies through his merciless approach to running his organization, especially when he kills one of his own men, Babu, when the latter decides to leave the business. This introduces Shobhraj to two new enemies, Julie, Babu's fiancée, and Nisha, Babu's sister. Salim–Javed
Salim–Javed were an Indian screenwriting duo, composed of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, working in Bollywood. They are noted for being the first Indian screenwriters to achieve star status, becoming the most successful Indian screenwriters of all time. They are regarded as "Hindi cinema's greatest screenwriters". They worked together on 24 films during 1971–1987, of which twenty were commercially and critically successful films. ''Don'' is a 1978 Indian Hindi-language crime action thriller film directed by Chandra Barot, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman and Pran. Written by Salim–Javed, and produced by Nariman Irani, the film also features Iftekhar, Om Shivpuri, and Satyen Kappu in pivotal roles. Bachchan played dual roles, as the titular character and his lookalike simpleton. The plot revolves around Vijay, a Bombay slum-dweller who resembles the powerful criminal Don, being asked by Police Superintendent D'Silva to masquerade as Don after to the latter's death, in order to act as an informant for the police and track down the root of the criminal organization. The film features music by Kalyanji–Anandji, with lyrics by Anjaan and Indeevar. It was the third highest-grossing Indian film of 1978, and was classified a golden jubilee by Box Office India. Don is a fictional character in the ''Don'' film franchise. He was first introduced in the 1978 film '' Don''. He later appears in a remake '' Don'' and its sequel ''Don 2''. The character was created by the writer duo Salim–Javed ( Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar), and was portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan. In the reboot series, Don was played by Shah Rukh Khan.
