Shkëndija Tiranë
Shkëndija Tiranë is an Albanian football club based in Tirana, and is the football team of the Sports mastery school Loro Boriçi. The academy is famous for being one of the most successful in the country and has produced 35 Albanian international footballers. The club's glory days were in the 1970s where they were regulars in the Kategoria Superiore and were featured in the Balkans Cup in 1971–72. In 1986, the club was renamed Studenti ILFK Tirana, but was reverted to Shkëndija Tiranë. The club does not currently compete in the senior football league. Kamëz
Kamëz ( sq-definite, Kamza) is a municipality in Tirana County, Albania. It was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities Kamëz and Paskuqan, that became municipal units. The seat of the municipality is the town Kamëz. The municipality's population is 96,137 as of the 2023 census, while the municipal unit has a population of 61,739, in a total area of 37.20 km2. Kamëz was one of the applicants for the 2019 European Green Capital Awards, which was won by Oslo. History Kamez is located on the site of an Ancient Illyrian village. Ermal Tahiri
Ermal Tahiri (born 27 April 1969) is an Albanian retired footballer who played as a midfielder for a number of clubs in Albania and Greece as well as for the Albania national team. Club career Tahiri began his career in Albania, playing several seasons with Dinamo Tirana and winning the 1989–90 Albanian championship. Tahiri moved to Greece to play in the Greek second division with PAS Giannina on a six-month contract in December 1995. He would move to Ialysos and Panegialios before returning to PAS Giannina for six months in December 1997. International career He made his debut for Albania in a September 1990 friendly match against Greece and earned a total of 4 caps, scoring no goals. His final international was another friendly against Greece, in September 1991. 2020 Kategoria E Tretë
The 2020 Kategoria e Tretë was the 17th official season of the Albanian football fourth division since its establishment. The season began on 20 February 2020 and ended on 17 July 2020. There were 8 teams competing this season. The competition was suspended from 12 March to 4 June 2020, due to a pandemic of COVID-19 in Albania. Bulqiza and Labëria gained promotion to the 2020–21 Kategoria e Dytë. Labëria won their first Kategoria e Tretë title. Kategoria e Tretë is the fourth tier of Albania's football league system. A total of 16 teams, split into 2 groups, are competing in the upcoming 2024–25 season. Sports Mastery School Loro Boriçi
The Sports mastery school Loro Boriçi is a sports high school that specializes in cultivating young football players. It is located in Tirana, Albania. Recently the Albanian government, in collaboration with the Albanian Football Association, has taken a decision to transform it into a ''National Academy of Football''. Kategoria Superiore (), also known as Abissnet Superiore for sponsorship reasons with internet service provider, Abissnet, is a professional league for men's association football clubs in Albania. At the top of the Albanian football league system, it is the country's premier football competition. It is contested by 10 clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Kategoria e Parë. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 36 matches each (playing each team in the league four times, twice at home and twice away). Balkans Cup
The Balkans Cup was an international football competition for clubs from Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Turkey, and Yugoslavia. It was introduced in 1961 and was very popular in the 1960s (the 1967 final attracted 42,000 spectators), being the second most important international club competition for clubs from the region (after the European Champions' Cup in which the champions could play; the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup originally attracted few teams from the region as many did not organise domestic cups regularly and only Yugoslavia had significant representation in the Fairs Cup). Sulejman Haxhi Mema (born 17 November 1955) is an Albanian former football player and manager of KF Tirana, Tirana Youth. He has also been head of refereeing at the Football Association of Albania. International career He made his debut for Albania national football team, Albania in an April 1983 UEFA Euro 1984 qualifying, European Championship qualification match against Northern Ireland national football team, Northern Ireland, coming on as a second-half substitute for Shkëlqim Muça.
