Shiwa 2000
{{refimprove, date=June 2011 Shiwa 2000 is a Suomisoundi-style psychedelic trance group from Finland. The regular members of the assemblage are Rick Timebees and Tim Thick, who is also familiar from Texas Faggott and Mandalavandalz. There has also appeared some visiting musicians on the albums of the Shiwa 2000, for example Bill Tema aka MC Vittumeitsi. The debut album ''Final Truth 2020'' was released by Finnish Karelia Records in 2000. The album has been sold out later on and it has been licensed as a reprint to India. The second album ''Runkmeditation & Perstantra'' was released by Russian Hippie Killer Productions in 2006. On April 1, 2010, the final chapter of Shiwa 2000 trilogy, ''Portinfarttijan Hyppypiertari'' CD album was released by the Russian label Hippie Killer Productions. Suomisoundi
Suomisaundi ( en, "Finnish sound"), also known as suomisoundi, suomistyge or spugedelic trance is a style of psychedelic trance that originated in Finland around the mid-1990s. "Suomisaundi" literally means "Finnish sound" in Finnish. Suomisaundi biggest proponents are said to be Tim Thick and his label Thixx'n'Dixx. History Sometime during the early years of the 90s, a party collective Ruskababa introduced Goa trance to a handful of enthusiasts through their covert summertime party activities. The music in these parties were typically played from DAT tapes, or even from cassette tapes and included mostly hits from Goa from the previous season's parties. Pepe Kosminen was one of the DJ's playing these new psychedelic tunes to the Finnish audience in Ruskababa parties. Psychedelic Trance, Psytrance or Psy is a subgenre of trance music characterized by arrangements of rhythms and layered melodies created by high tempo riffs. The genre offers variety in terms of mood, tempo, and style. Some examples include full on, darkpsy, forest, minimal (Zenonesque), hitech psy, progressive, suomi, psy-chill, psycore (fusion of psychedelic trance and hardcore), psybient (fusion of psychedelic trance and ambient), psybreaks, or "adapted" tracks from other music genres. Goa trance preceded psytrance; when digital media became more commonly used psytrance evolved. Goa continues to develop alongside the other genres. Hippie Killer Productions
A hippie, also spelled hippy, especially in British English, is someone associated with the counterculture of the 1960s, originally a youth movement that began in the United States during the mid-1960s and spread to different countries around the world. Aluetelevisio
Aluetelevisio (ATV) was a Finnish cable television channel which operated from the end of the 1990s to the start of the 2000s. ATV was owned by Christian Moustgaard. His son Eetu Moustgaard worked at ATV as a reporter. The channel was known in Helsinki for its (then) revolutionary approach to urban journalism and TV entertainment in general. The production team had no previous experience in TV work and the channel basically "made it up as they went along". In a way the programs looked much like the reality-TV shows that the modern day television is packed with. But as the term Reality-TV did not yet exist, ATV was heavily criticised for its amateurish look and at times challenging views as being unprofessional and childish.
