Haveri is a city in Karnataka, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Haveri district. Haveri is famous for its cardamom garlands and Byadagi red chillies. Around 25 km away, there is a place called Bada, which is the birthplace of the poet Kanakadasa. Sainik School Bijapur is one of the 25 Sainik Schools of India. The Bijapur Sainik School was established by the government of India in 1963. The school prepares boys to join the armed forces.
