Shion (Wonder Boy)
''Wonder Boy in Monster World'', known in Japan as ''Wonder Boy V: Monster World III'', is a side-scrolling action role-playing game originally developed by Westone and published by Sega for the Mega Drive/Genesis in 1991. It is the fifth game in the ''Wonder Boy'' series and the third game in the ''Monster World'' sub-series, following ''Wonder Boy in Monster Land'' (''Super Wonder Boy: Monster World'' on the Japanese Sega Mark III) and '' Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap'' (''Monster World II: Dragon no Wana'' on the Japanese Game Gear). Versions for other platforms were also made. In 1993, Sega released a Master System version of the game specifically for the European market, while in 1994, Hudson Soft remade the game for the TurboDuo under the title of , featuring an all-new theme and cast of characters. Westone Bit Entertainment
was a video game developer founded in May 1986, based in Mukoujima, Sumida-ku, Tokyo. They were most famous for the '' Wonder Boy/Monster World'' series. Originally called , the company was renamed to Westone as the word Escape made them sound unreliable. The company's name was changed yet again to Westone Bit Entertainment in April 2000. The chief publisher was Ryuichi Nishizawa. The company went bankrupt and entered the liquidation process on October 1, 2014. Currently, the intellectual property rights to Westone Bit Entertainment's games are owned by LAT Corporation. The Westone name is derived from the first characters of the names of company founders, Ryuuichi Nishizawa (Nishi = West) and Michishito Ishizuka (Ishi = Stone). Hudson Soft
was a Japanese video game company known for releasing numerous titles across video game consoles, home computers, and mobile phones. Headquartered in the Midtown Tower in Tokyo, it also maintained an office in the Hudson Building in Sapporo. Founded on May 18, 1973, Hudson initially focused on personal computer products before expanding into video game development, publishing, peripherals, and music production. ''Monica and Friends'' (), previously published as ''Monica's Gang'' in Anglophone territories and as ''Frizz and Friends'' in London, is a Brazilian comic book series and media franchise created by Mauricio de Sousa. Monica de Sousa ( Portuguese: ''Mônica'') is a Brazilian fictional character and Mauricio de Sousa's best-known creation. Introduced in 1960, she serves as the main protagonist and title character of the ''Monica and Friends'' (''Turma da Mônica'') comic book series and media franchise. Mauricio based the character on his second daughter, also named Monica, with whom the fictional character shares some physical characteristics. In her first appearances, she was a supporting character to Jimmy Five, but was gradually made the main character. An eponymous comic book series began publication from 1970.
