Shin Takarajima (song)
is a song by Japanese band Sakanaction. The band's frontman, Ichiro Yamaguchi, wrote the lyrics and music. Shin Takarajima is the band's 11th single, released on September 15, 2015 by Victor Entertainment. The song was the band's first single since the release of "Sayonara wa Emotion", after which they took a year's hiatus in light of bassist Ami Kusakari's pregnancy. The song was featured in the soundtrack for the live-action film ''Bakuman (film), Bakuman'' and departs from the style of Sakanaction's other albums, featuring Pop music, pop influences, together with an alternative rock and dance music style. The title of the song was borrowed from Osamu Tezuka's ''Shin Takarajima (manga), Shin Takarajima'', which Yamaguchi came across while researching manga for musical inspiration. are a Japanese rock band from Sapporo, Hokkaido. Their music is a fusion of alternative rock, electronic, pop, and new wave styles. The band consists of five members: Ichiro Yamaguchi, Motoharu Iwadera, Ami Kusakari, Emi Okazaki, and Keiichi Ejima. ''Motion Music of Bakuman'' is a soundtrack by Japanese band Sakanaction, for the 2015 live-action film adaptation of the manga series ''Bakuman''. The soundtrack was released as a bonus CD included with the limited edition version of the band's " Shin Takarajima" (2015) single, a song which served as the theme song of the film. The soundtrack was awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Music award at the 39th Japan Academy Prize awards. Background and production In 2011, the band found a new resolution to write music for a general pop audience, as a way to both challenge themselves, and to make music that would resonate with a greater number of people. A countdown is a sequence of backward counting to indicate the time remaining before an event is scheduled to occur. A self-parody is a parody of oneself or one's own work. As an artist accomplishes it by imitating their own characteristics, a self-parody is potentially difficult to distinguish from especially characteristic productions.
