Shimmer Volume 54
Shimmer Volumes are the DVDs produced by the all-female professional wrestling promotion Shimmer Women Athletes. Since 2005, it has had 86 releases, with the most recent releases (82-91) being two volume, two disc sets, representing one night of events each, a practice not done since the out of print special edition of volume 1-2. Each volume is intended for release on DVD but about five years behind the actual live dates, with many (including volumes 91, 100, and 109-113) appearing in Streaming VOD services in the meantime. Official information on these releases regularly appears on the Shimmer Wrestling website. To date, all but 13 of the events have been recorded live at the Berwyn Eagles Club. Professional Wrestling Promotion
A professional wrestling promotion is a company or business that regularly performs shows involving professional wrestling. "Promotion" also describes a role which entails management, advertising and logistics of running a wrestling event. Within the convention of the show, the company is a sports governing body which sanctions wrestling matches and gives authority to the championships and is responsible for maintaining the divisions and their rankings. In truth, the company serves as a touring theatre troupe, as well as event promotion body for its own events. Tag Team Match
Many types of wrestling matches, sometimes called "gimmick matches" in the jargon of the business, are performed in professional wrestling. Some gimmick matches are more common than others and are often used to advance or conclude a storyline. Throughout professional wrestling's decades-long history, some gimmick matches have spawned many variations of the core concept. Singles match The singles match is the most common of all professional wrestling matches, which involves only two competitors competing for one fall. A victory is obtained by pinfall, submission, knockout, countout, or disqualification. One of the most common variations on the singles match is to restrict the possible means for victory. Lacey (wrestler)
Larissa Vados (born April 27, 1983) is an American former professional wrestler who went under the ring name Lacey, most known for working with numerous promotions throughout Northern America such as Ring of Honor, Shimmer, IWA-Mid South, Full Impact Pro, and NWA Midwest. She has also wrestled for Chikara, ChickFight, and was part of Wrestling Society X. As well as managing many wrestlers, she regularly teamed with Rain as the Minnesota Homewrecking Crew (a play on the name of the Minnesota Wrecking Crew) and then with the addition of British wrestler Jetta as The International Home Wrecking Crew in Shimmer. Lacey is considered one of ROH's Women of Honor, a title taken from the Straight Shootin' shoot interview of the same name. Daizee Haze
Emily Sharp (born May 11, 1983) is an American former professional wrestler known under the ring name Daizee Haze. She is best known for her time on the independent circuit, where she performed for numerous promotions such as Chikara (professional wrestling), Chikara, Ring of Honor and Shimmer Women Athletes, where she was a one-time Shimmer Tag Team Champion. Jazmin Benitez (born November 17, 1980) is an American professional wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) under the ring name Mercedes Martinez. She also appears for AEW's sister promotion, Ring of Honor (ROH), where she is a former ROH Women's World Champion. She is also known for her time in WWE, primarily on the WWE NXT, NXT brand. Sara Del Rey
Sara Ann Amato (born November 13, 1980) is an American professional wrestling trainer and retired professional wrestler, best known by her ring name Sara Del Rey. She was a mainstay for Chikara, Ring of Honor (ROH) and Shimmer, but also appeared for many other independent promotions in the US, including IWA Mid-South and All Pro Wrestling, as well as Mexico's Lucha Libre Femenil. Christie Ricci (born November 11, 1982) is the ring name of an American professional wrestler, also known as Glory. After being trained by Leilani Kai, Ricci made her debut in June 2002, and began competing on the independent circuit. She won both the LLF Championship and the XWF Women's Championship, before being sidelined with a knee injury in 2004.
