Shikhamir Gaflanov
Shikhamir Oruj oghlu Gaflanov () was an Azerbaijanis, Azerbaijani military officer, Major (rank), major serving in the Internal Troops of Azerbaijan. He had taken part in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, in which he was killed. He had received the title of the Hero of the Patriotic War for his service during the war. Early life Shikhamir Oruj oglu Gaflanov was born on 7 December 1986, in Zaqatala District of the Azerbaijan SSR, which was then part of the Soviet Union. Gaflanov was married, and had one child. His nickname was "Əfsanəvi Rembo" (). Military service From 2008 to 2010 he studied at the Military School of the Internal Troops, graduating with the military rank of lieutenant. Zaqatala District
Zagatala District (; ; ) is one of the 66 districts of Azerbaijan. It is located in the north of the country and belongs to the Shaki-Zagatala Economic Region. The district borders the districts of Balakan, Qakh, as well as the Kakheti region of Georgia and the Russian Republic of Dagestan. Its capital and largest city is Zagatala. Hadrut
Hadrut (, ) is a town in the Khojavend District of Azerbaijan, in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh. The town had an ethnic Armenian-majority population prior to the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war. Numerous Armenian civilians were killed in and around Hadrut by Azerbaijani forces during or after the battle. Subsequently, Azerbaijani soldiers vandalized Armenian-owned property, including the local church and cemetery, obliterating its gravestones. Toponymy The name ''Hadrut'' is of Persian origin and means "between two rivers". This is explained by the fact that the older part of the settlement was located between two streams, Guney-chay and Guzey-chay. Hadrut later expanded beyond the two rivers to the east and west. Anar Vagif oglu Aliyev () was an Azerbaijani military officer, lieutenant colonel serving in the special forces of the Nakhchivan Garrison, which is part of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. He had taken part in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, in which he was killed. He had received the title of the Hero of the Patriotic War for his service during the war.
