Shijia Township, Shizhu County
Shijia Township () is a township in Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County, Chongqing, China. As of the 2017 census it had a population of 6,619 and an area of . Administrative division As of 2016, the township is divided into five villages: * Shilong () * Huanglong () * Fenghuang () * Jiulong () * Anqiao () History In 1932, it was known as "Shijia" (). Townships ( zh, s=乡, labels=no), formally township-level divisions ( zh, s=乡级行政区, labels=no), are the basic level (fourth-level administrative units) of political divisions in the People's Republic of China. They are similar to municipalities and communes in other countries and in turn may contain village committees and villages. In 1995 there were 29,648 townships and 17,570 towns (a total of 47,218 township-level divisions) in China which included the territories held by the Republic of China and claimed by the PRC. Autonomous counties () and autonomous banners () are Counties of China, county-level autonomous administrative divisions of China. Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County
Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County (), or Shizhu County for short, is located in southeastern Chongqing, China. It is south of the Yangtze River, and borders the Chongqing divisions of Pengshui County to the south, Fengdu County to the southwest, Zhong County to the northwest and Wanzhou District to the north; to the east, it borders the Hubei county-level city of Lichuan. It's in the center zone of Three Gorges Reservoir Region, and the only autonomous county which designated for only one of ethnic minorities in this region. This is a list of township-level divisions of the municipality of Chongqing, People's Republic of China (PRC). After province, prefecture, and county-level divisions, township-level divisions constitute the formal fourth-level administrative divisions of the PRC.
