Shiann Salmon
Shiann Salmon (born 31 March 1999) is a Jamaican track and field athlete who specializes in the 400 metres hurdles and 400 metres. She represented Jamaica at the 2019 World Athletics Championships, competing in 2019 World Athletics Championships – Women's 400 metres hurdles, women's 400 metres hurdles. Career Salmon competed at the 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships, placing second in the 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships – Women's 400 metres hurdles, Women's 400 meters hurdles event and third in the 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships – Women's 4 × 400 metres relay, Women's 400 meters relay. In 2019 Salmon finished second at the Jamaican Championships, qualifying her for the 2019 World Athletics Championships, 2019 World Championships, where she made the semi-finals. She won the 400 m hurdles and the 400 m mixed relay gold medals in the 2021 NACAC U18 U20 and U23 Championships in Athletics, 2021 NACAC U23 Championships. Tonja Buford-Bailey
Tonja Yvette Buford-Bailey (born December 13, 1970, in Dayton, Ohio) is an American former Olympian who competed mainly in the 400 meter hurdles. She competed as Tonja Buford until marrying Victor Bailey (American football), Victor Bailey on October 28, 1995. In 1982, when she was 12 years old, she met former track runner Wilma Rudolph. She attended Meadowdale High School (Ohio), Meadowdale High School in Dayton and the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, University of Illinois. Her best result came in the 1995 World Championships in Athletics, 1995 World Championships held in Gothenburg, Sweden where she won the silver medal in the 400-meter hurdles, losing to compatriot Kim Batten by only 0.01 seconds.
