George Shepherd, 1st Baron Shepherd
George Robert Shepherd, 1st Baron Shepherd PC (19 August 1881 – 4 December 1954), was a British Labour politician. Early life Shepherd was the son of George Robert Shepherd, a tailor of Spalding, Lincolnshire. Shepherd began working as an assistant to a cobbler in Bradford, joining a union and, in 1903, also joining the Independent Labour Party (ILP). From 1908, he spent a year working as the full-time ILP organiser for the Midlands, and was then appointed as an agent for the Labour Party in Dundee, where he was election agent for Alexander Wilkie. In 1913, he moved to Blackburn, to serve as agent for Philip Snowden. Kirk Shepherd
Kirk Shepherd (born 5 October 1986) is an English former professional darts player who competed in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tournaments. He is best known for finishing as runner-up in the 2008 PDC World Darts Championship after starting the tournament as a 1000/1 outsider. Career BDO Shepherd won the Winmau World Youth Masters in 2003, the British Teenage Singles Champion in 2004 and 2006 and was twice voted British Darts Organisation Young Player of the Year in 2005 and 2006. At the age of just 18, he reached the final of the BDO Gold Cup in 2005. In 2006, he reached the quarter finals of the England Open, before switching from the BDO circuit to join the PDC in November 2006. Kenny Wayne Shepherd (born Kenneth Wayne Brobst; June 12, 1977) is an American guitarist. He has released several studio albums and experienced significant commercial success as a blues rock artist. Keith Wayne Shepherd (born January 21, 1968) is an American former baseball middle relief pitcher. Shepherd played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from through for the Philadelphia Phillies (1992), Colorado Rockies (1993), Boston Red Sox (1995) and Baltimore Orioles (1996). Listed at 6' 2", 205 lb., Shepherd batted and threw right-handed. Career Shepherd was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1986 MLB draft. Shepherd pitched for nine different MLB organizations from 1986 to 1997, including parts of four seasons in the MLB. He posted a 2–5 record with a 6.71 earned run average and three saves in 41 appearances for the Phillies, Rockies, Red Sox and Orioles. Karen Rae Shepherd (née Felker; born July 5, 1940) is an American politician who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1993 to 1995. Early life Shepherd was born Karen Rae Felker in Silver City, New Mexico, where her father, Ralph Felker, worked for the U.S. Forest Service. The family soon moved to southern Utah and lived in many small towns throughout Shepherd's childhood as the Department of Agriculture transferred them from place to place until they settled in Provo where she went to high school. Joel Shepherd (born 1974 in Adelaide, South Australia) is an Australian science fiction author.
