Shenzhen Convention And Exhibition Center
The Convention and Exhibition Center () is a large public building in Futian Central Business District, Shenzhen, China. By occupying an area of , it is the largest single structure building in Shenzhen. It is in length and wide. The building is tall and was completed in 2004 at a cost of CNY3.2 billion. It has held almost 300 exhibitions and more than 1350 conferences since its opening. It is built by the Shenzhen municipal government, and was designed by the German architectural firm Gerkan, Marg and Partners. It remains a popular venue for international fairs and exhibitions. The 2018 China hi tech fair (CHTF) was held here in November 2018. It lies on line 1 and line 4 of Shenzhen metro (). Futian District
Futian District () is one of the nine districts comprising the city of Shenzhen, China. The district is home to the government and Municipal Committee of Shenzhen, as well as one of the city's central business district (CBD). Name There are two theories concerning the origin of the district's name: * From an inscription dating to the Song dynasty (960–1297) which reads: "Lakes and mountains are blessed with fertile farmlands" (). * Written records showing that people from Shangsha Village built houses in Songziling in 1192; their farmlands were cultivated in lattice shapes, which in Chinese is a homophone for "Futian" meaning "blessed fields". Line 11 (Shenzhen Metro)
Shenzhen Metro Line 11 opened on 28 June 2016. Line 11 has a length of and a total of 19 stations. It connects the CBDs of Futian, Nanshan and Qianhai to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and onward to Fuyong, Shajing and Songgang suburban areas. It serves as both a regional express line from the west coast of Shenzhen to the city core area and an airport rail link. Compared with the other lines of Shenzhen Metro, Line 11 has a longer spacing between stops for a higher speed service. Trains of Line 11 were designed to run at , up to 50% faster than other lines, but currently limited to in some sections for infrastructure, tunnel wind pressure, track geometry issues and noise reasons. Line 4 of the Shenzhen Metro, formerly branded as the Longhua line, runs South–North from to . The line serves Futian District and Longhua District of Shenzhen. The line originally used 4-car trains, making it extremely crowded; although it still carried over 250,000 people daily, peaking at 516,100 on 5 May 2014. Stations feature electronic passenger information systems, which display estimated train arrival times. When the second phase of the line opened in 2011, there were only eight trains which were completely unable to meet passenger demand. By 2012, 24 trains were in service. The Shenzhen Metro ( zh, s=深圳地铁, c=, labels=no) is the rapid transit system for the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong province, China. The newest lines and extensions which opened on December 27, 2024 put the network at of trackage. It currently operates on 17 lines with 398 stations.
