Shebin El-Kom
Shibin El Kom ( , colloquially shortened to ''Shibin'') is a city in Egypt's Nile Delta, and the capital of the Monufia Governorate. Etymology The city was previously known as Shaybin as-Ssarya () the first part of which Ramzi connects to ''ʾašyab'' "grey-coloured, old".ابن مماتي ص156 It appears to be a translation of akin to Shaybin al-Qasr (, ), modern Shibin el-Qanatir, and possibly points out that Shibin el Kom used to be one of the Roman military camps in Lower Egypt. Menoufia University
Menoufia University is one of the regional universities in Egypt, established in 1976. The university started with four colleges (the College of Agriculture, the College of Engineering, the College of Education, and the College of Electronic Engineering), then it expanded and established many of its affiliated colleges until it became comprising about 80000 students, 3000 faculty members and assistant staff. The main headquarters of the university are located in Shebin El Kom. Denshway Museum
The Denshway Museum is a museum in Al-Minufiyah, Egypt, 75 kilometers north west of Cairo, which was established to commemorate the Denshawai incident. Establishment The museum, which opened in July 1999, commemorates the Denshawai incident, a confrontation between British Army officers and local Egyptians over the officers hunting of local pigeons which the villagers grew for food. The museum honours the seven Egyptians who were hanged by the British on 26 June 1906. Museum idea In creating the museum, it was hoped to remind villagers of the history that helped to shape the region and also to provide a cultural center which would increase tourism in the region. Shibin El Qanater
Shibin El Qanater (), previously known as Shaybin al-Qasr () and Scenae Veteranorum is a region (''markaz'') in Egypt situated in the center of the Qalyubia Governorate. Its population was 423,783 at the 2006 Census and comprises 36 villages.
