Menoufia University
Menoufia University is one of the regional universities in Egypt, established in 1976. The university started with four colleges (the College of Agriculture, the College of Engineering, the College of Education, and the College of Electronic Engineering), then it expanded and established many of its affiliated colleges until it became comprising about 80000 students, 3000 faculty members and assistant staff. The main headquarters of the university are located in Shebin El Kom. Currently, the university includes 13 colleges and one institute after the separation of the faculties of the university branch in Sadat City, which has become the University of Sadat City. Shibin El Kom
Shibin El Kom ( , colloquially shortened to ''Shibin'') is a city in Egypt's Nile Delta, and the capital of the Monufia Governorate. Monufia Governorate
Monufia ( ' ) is one of the governorates of Egypt. Monufia’s name was derived from the hieroglyphic word “Nafr”, which means “The Good Land”. It is located in the northern part of the country in the Nile Delta, to the south of Gharbia Governorate and to the north of Cairo. Education in Egypt is compulsory for nine academic years, from ages 4 to 14, and the constitution guarantees free education at all levels in government-run schools and public universities. There are no formal admissions requirements for enrollment in public elementary schools. Although public education is technically free, these schools still impose small fees.
