''She Wolf'' () is the eighth studio album and third English-language album by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira. It was released on 9 October 2009, by Epic Records. As executive producers, Shakira and Amanda Ghost enlisted collaborators including The Neptunes, John Hill, Wyclef Jean, Lukas Burton, Future Cut, Jerry Duplessis and Timbaland. Musically, the record shifts from her traditional Latin pop and pop rock musical styles, instead exploring electropop, with influences of folk and world music. The lyrical themes of the album mostly focus on love and relationships and were based on the conversations Shakira had with her female friends. Amanda Louisa Gosein-Cameron (born 10 July 1974), known professionally as Amanda Ghost, is a British entertainment executive, songwriter and singer. She was the president of Epic Records from 2009 until 2010. Ghost is a three-time Ivor Novello Award winner, a Golden Globe nominee, and worked on five songs and albums that have been nominated for Grammy Awards. Early career (1997–2014) At the age of 19, Ghost began writing songs with Ian Dench. In 1997, she contributed her version of Gary Numan's "Absolution" to the tribute album ''Random''. His first major success came as the producer of the Fugees' 1996 album ''The Score (Fugees album), The Score''.
