Shaw Charity Classic
The Shaw Charity Classic is a professional golf tournament in Canada on the Champions Tour, played at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club in Calgary, Alberta. The 54-hole tournament was first played in 2013, and Rocco Mediate won with a 22-under 191, seven strokes ahead of runner-up Tom Byrum. A new course record was set by Bill Glasson at 62 (−9). The course was changed to par 70 in 2014, with a winner's share of $337,500. Fred Couples chipped in for eagle on the par-5 final hole for a course record 61 (−9) and a total of 195 (−15), then waited for the leaders to finish. Billy Andrade followed with a 62 (−8) to force a two-man playoff, which began on the 18th hole. Couples laid up with a wedge and nearly holed his third shot with a sand wedge; he sank the one-foot (0.3 m) putt for birdie to win the title. Kirk Triplett
Kirk Alan Triplett (born March 29, 1962) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and PGA Tour Champions. Early years Born in Moses Lake, Washington, Triplett grew up on the Palouse in Pullman and graduated from Pullman High School He accepted a golf scholarship to the University of Nevada and earned a degree in civil engineering. Scott Parel
Scott Parel (born May 15, 1965) is an American professional golfer. Parel was born in Pontiac, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Georgia but did not play college golf. He worked for 10 years as a computer programmer and database administrator after college before becoming a professional golfer. Parel played on the Web.com Tour in 2003, 2005–09, and 2012–15. Joseph Scott Durant (born April 7, 1964) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour Champions. He was previously a member of the PGA Tour, where he was a four-time winner. Early life Durant was born in Pensacola, Florida. He attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, where he majored in Marketing and graduated in 1987. Scott McCarron
Scott Michael McCarron (born July 10, 1965) is an American professional golfer who was formerly a member of the PGA Tour but now plays on the PGA Tour Champions. McCarron was born in Sacramento, California and graduated from Vintage High School in Napa, California. He was a member of the golf team at UCLA, graduating in 1988 with a major in History. Unlike most golfers, McCarron did not transition right away from the college to the professional ranks – he gave up golf for four years (1988–1992) to work with his father in the family golf apparel business. Stephen J. Flesch (born May 23, 1967) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions. He was a four-time winner on the PGA Tour, and worked briefly as a TV golf analyst for Fox Sports and Golf Channel before joining the PGA Tour Champions.
