''Shatru'' (), also released as Birodh, is a 1986 Hindi-language film starring Rajesh Khanna in the lead where he plays an inspector in a remote village. The film was an Indo-Bangladeshi venture and the music was written by R.D. Burman. It was a remake of the 1984 Bengali film of the same name directed by Anjan Choudhury. ''Shatru'' in Hindi was an average success as it was released without any publicity. Plot Haridaspur is a village where Ashok Sharma was assigned as an Inspector. When he arrived at the remote village, he rescued a blind man and a widow. Ashok then got into a fist fight with Nishikant Shah and his men. The next day, Shah finds out the person with whom his men fought was Ashok himself. In order to make amends with Ashok, he decides to pay him a visit of reconciliation. Ashok refuses. After a series of events transpired, Ashok learns of the misdeeds carried out by Nishikant Shah and MLA Gopal Choudhary. Ashok then realized he had to help the people of the villa ...

Pramod Chakravorty (15 August 1929 – 12 December 2004) was an Indian Hindi film producer and director. Career Chakravorty is best known for directing Hindi film classics like ''Ziddi (1964 film), Ziddi'', ''Love in Tokyo'', ''Tumse Achcha Kaun Hai'' in romantic genre and action films like ''Jugnu (1973 film), Jugnu'' (1973), ''Jagir'' and ''Shatru (1986 film), Shatru''. Hasan Imam
Syed Hasan Imam (born 27 July 1935) is an actor, film director, television director and cultural personality in Bangladesh. He earned Ekushey Padak (1999), Independence Day Award (2016) and Bangladesh National Film Award for Lifetime Achievement (2014). He was part of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. He became an honorary fellow of Bangla Academy in 2010. Early life Imam's father died when he was two years old. He passed matriculation exam from Bardhawan Town School. He then graduated from Burdwan Raj College. He played both cricket and football in West Bengal School teams. He won the first prize in Rabindra Sangeet category in All India Festival. He worked in National Bank of Pakistan.
