Shashwat Sachdev
Shashwat Sachdev is an Indian music composer and entrepreneur. He also won the 65th Filmfare R.D. Burman Award for best new and upcoming talent. Early life Sachdev was born in Jaipur. He started learning music when he was three years old, beginning with Hindustani classical vocals and rhythm. He then went on to train in the Western classical piano during his school days. Career Shashwat started his career in 2011 in Hollywood, Los Angeles working on numerous projects before moving to India in 2016. In 2017, he was the music composer for '' Phillauri'', which starred Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh. In 2018, he composed four songs for Veere Di Wedding, a Bollywood female buddy comedy film, directed by Shashanka Ghosh. 2016 Uri Attack
The 2016 Uri attack was carried out on 18 September by four Jaish-e-Mohammed insurgents from Pakistan against an Indian Army brigade headquarters near the town of Uri in the erstwhile Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. 19 Indian soldiers were killed in the attack, and 19–30 others were injured. It was reported by the BBC as having been "the deadliest attack on security forces in Kashmir in two decades". Jaish-e-Mohammed, a Pakistan-based Jihadist organization (designated as terrorist organization by mainly US, UK & India), was involved in the planning and execution of the attack. 2016 Indian Line Of Control Strike
On 29 September 2016, India announced that it conducted surgical strikes against militant launch pads across the Line of Control in Pakistani-administered Kashmir, and inflicted "significant casualties". Pakistan rejected India's claim, and instead claimed that Indian troops did not cross the Line of Control and had only skirmished with Pakistani troops at the border. Indian media reported the casualty figures variously from 35 to 70. Pakistan accepted the deaths of two Pakistani soldiers and nine wounded. Pakistani sources reported that at least eight Indian soldiers were killed in the exchange, and one was captured. ''Selection Day'' is a 2016 sports fiction novel written by Booker Prize winner Aravind Adiga. It was shortlisted along with four other writers for the 2017 DSC Prize for South Asian Literature.
