''Shashlik'' is a Pakistani comedy-drama sitcom which was written by Sarmad Khoosat, directed by Jawad Bashir and Khoosat. It was aired on Pakistan Television Corporation from 2001 to 2002. The main cast includes Khoosat, Nadia Afgan, Mandana Zaidi and Nasreen Qureshi. It was directorial as well as the acting debut of the Khoosat. Overview The plot revolves around Cheeku who is not so manly, and his dynamics with her cousins who live in his house, Mishi, Munni, Chunni and his neighbour Kammo. The sitcom also contains several situational songs. Sarmad Khoosat
Sarmad Sultan Khoosat (, born 7 May 1979) is a Pakistani actor, director, producer, and screenwriter. Mainly known for his work as a director and actor in both cinema and television, Khoosat has directed the super-hit TV dramas ''Humsafar'' and ''Shehr-e-Zaat''. The son of Irfan Khoosat, he is considered one of the best South Asian filmmakers with his 2019 film ''Zindagi Tamasha'' being selected as Pakistan's entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards. The film also premiered at the 24th Busan International Film Festival under the section 'A Window on Asian Cinema'. PTV Home HD is a Pakistani free-to-air television channel owned by the Pakistan Television Corporation. It also broadcast as a Terrestrial television.
