Shashl
Ashleigh Angel Moyo (born 23 June 2000), known professionally as Shashl, is a Zimbabwean music artist. She is the first Zimbabwean female musician to be signed under Universal Music Africa. Shashl was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. She is the daughter of former Zimbabwean health minister Obadiah Moyo. She had her early education at Hellenic Secondary School in Harare. Shashl began her career in 2017 when she released her debut track titled ''No More'' then released her first single project under Universal Music titled ''Blow It in the Wind''. She was nominated for best female Artist in the Southern African region at the 8th African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA). She also won Best Newcomer at Zimbabwe Music Awards. The 8th African Muzik Magazine Awards ceremony was held on 12 December 2021, virtually with the theme, "Flavors of Africa". The awards celebrated African music and African artists. Afrobeats
Afrobeats (not to be confused with Afrobeat or Afroswing), or Afro-pop or Afro-fusion (or Afropop or Afrofusion), is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing out of Ghana and Nigeria. Obadiah Moyo
Obadiah Moyo is a Zimbabwean politician and former hospital administrator. In 2018, he was appointed the country's Minister of Health and Child Care. On 19 June 2020, he was arrested and charged with three counts of criminal abuse of duty as a public officer, for his alleged participation in a scam that involved tens of millions of dollars. After spending the night in police cells, he posted $50,000.00 bail. On 7 July 2020, the President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa dismissed Moyo from the office of cabinet minister, removing him for "conduct inappropriate for a Government Minister". Levels Chillspot is a Zimbabwean music producer, artist and Zimdancehall chanter. He is co-founder of Chillspot Recordz. Early life Born Rodger Tafadzwa Kadzimwe, Levels was born in Murehwa in September 1989. He grew up in Chitungwiza where he had his early education then later moved to Mbare suburb in Harare. Background Levels Chillspot grew into prominence when he co-founded one of the most successful Zimdancehall record labels in Zimbabwe, Chillspot Recordz in 2013 which popularised Zimdancehall genre. Mthokozisi Khathi (born August 24, 1976), professionally known by his stage name DJ Tira, is a South African DJ, record producer and Kwaito artist. He helped popularize the Gqom music genre. Khathi won the Smirnoff SA DJ Knockout competition in 2000 and released the compilation album ''Real Makoya'' in 2001. He is a member of the South African musical group, Durbans Finest.
