Sharon Ambrose
Sharon Ambrose (September 3, 1939 – April 1, 2017) was an American politician and teacher from Washington, D.C., who served as a member of the Council of the District of Columbia from 1997 to 2007, representing Ward 6 as a Democrat. Early life and education Ambrose was born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 3, 1939. She graduated from Saint Xavier University. Career Ambrose served on the Council of the District of Columbia from 1997 to 2007, representing Ward 6 as a Democrat. She retired after two terms to focus on an illness, which had been misdiagnosed as multiple sclerosis. Following her retirement, Ambrose helped with the mayoral campaign of David Catania, as well as the campaign for an at-large council seat by David Grosso, a former staff person. Personal life and death Ambrose was married and had four children. She died on April 1, 2017, at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., at the age of 77. The Council of the District of Columbia (or simply D.C. Council) is the legislative branch of the government of the District of Columbia. As permitted in the United States Constitution, the district is not part of any U.S. state and is overseen directly by the Federal government of the United States, federal government. David Grosso
David Grosso (born September 18, 1970) is an American attorney and politician. He is a former at-large member of the Council of the District of Columbia who lives in Brookland, Washington, D.C., Brookland. A native Washingtonian, he graduated from Earlham College and Georgetown University Law Center. Grosso is a member of the D.C. Bar. Following the completion of his second term on the D.C. Council, he joined the law firm Arent Fox as a lobbyist. Early life Grosso was born in Washington, D.C. During his childhood, he lived on a farm in Northern Virginia. As a teenager, he lived on Rock Creek Church Road in Petworth (Washington, D.C.), Petworth. Grosso graduated from Earlham College with a degree in philosophy. George Washington University Hospital
The George Washington University Hospital (GWUH) is a short-stay hospital in Washington, D.C. affiliated with the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Since 2022, the hospital has been wholly owned and operated by Universal Health Services, though it maintains significant ties with George Washington University (GWU).
