Ajay Kumar Sharma () (born 3 April 1964) is a former Indian cricketer. Sharma was a prolific run-maker in first-class cricket, mainly for Delhi, scoring over 10,000 runs, at an average of 67.46. He was a part of the Indian squad which won the 1988 Asia Cup. Domestic career In the Ranji Trophy, Sharma scored a record 31 centuries and his batting average of approximately 80 in the competition is second only to Vijay Merchant. Ankit Sharma (born 20 July 1992) is an Indian athlete who competes in the long jump event. He holds the long jump national record of 8.19 metres set in June 2016 at the G. Kosanov Memorial Meet in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Early life and background Sharma was born on 20 July 1992 in Pinahat, Uttar Pradesh as the youngest child of teacher Harnath Sharma and Mithlesh Sharma. His family originally hails from Morena district, Madhya Pradesh, and migrated to Pinahat several years before Sharma was born. Anjani Kumar Sharma () was Nepal's first surgeon. Sharma was born on June 7, 1928, in the remote region of Bhaluwahi in Siraha District in the Terai region of Nepal. Growing up in rural Nepal, there was poor access to healthcare, and because of this, he lost his mother at age 8. Following her death, he was inspired to become a doctor. With the help of his father and uncle, he achieved his dreams. He completed his MBBS at Calcutta Medical College in 1955. He was awarded an MS in Surgery from Darbhanga Medical College in India. Anjali Sharma (born 2004) is an Australian climate activist who was the lead litigant in a class action in the Australian Federal Court, seeking an injunction against the Australian Government and the Minister for the Environment for failing to consider the impacts of climate change when approving a coal mining permit. While no injunction was issued, the principle that the government had a duty of care to prevent certain impacts was established. The government appealed against this part of the ruling and won. Anant Prasad Sharma (25 December 1919 – October 1988) was an Indian Railway Union leader, politician who became Minister of State for Industry, and Union Minister of the government of India.
