Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex
The Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex (SKCC) is a convention center in Cotabato City, Philippines. It was the meeting place of the Bangsamoro Parliament which is the regional legislature of Bangsamoro Bangsamoro, officially the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM; ; ), is an autonomous region in the Philippines, located in the southwestern portion of the island of Mindanao. The building was built during the time of Simeon Datumanong, to provide space for an auditorium, library, and museum for residents of Cotabato City. In February 4, 2019, a new museum named the Bangsamoro Museum was inaugurated by the now-defunct Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao regional government. Bangsamoro
Bangsamoro, officially the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM; ; ), is an autonomous region in the Philippines, located in the southwestern portion of the island of Mindanao. Replacing the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), the BARMM was formed with the ratification of its basic law, the Bangsamoro Organic Law, following a two-part legally binding plebiscite in Western Mindanao held on January 21 and February 6, 2019. The Bangsamoro Parliament is the legislature of Bangsamoro, an autonomous region of the Philippines. It is currently led by the Bangsamoro Transition Authority, an interim regional governing body. Simeon Datumanong
Simeon Ampatuan Datumanong (June 17, 1935 – February 28, 2017) was a Filipino Muslim politician who held different government positions including being a representative of the lone district of Maguindanao in the House of Representatives of the Philippines. He was married to Hadja Sittie Mariam Sigrid de Guzman Datumanong and had four children. Education He finished elementary school as the class valedictorian at Cotabato Central School in Cotabato City on 1949. He was the first honorable mention when he finished his high school studies at Cotabato High School.
