Sharifah Aini
Sharifah Aini binti Syed Jaafar (2 July 1953 – 5 July 2014), better known by her stage name Sharifah Aini, was a Malaysian singer, known as ''Biduanita Negara'' or "National Songstress" after the late Salmah Ismail (Saloma). She won first place in the Radio Television Singapore (RTS) talentime contest "Bintang RTS" competition in 1968, singing "Tiga Malam". She was famously known as Kak Pah. In Malaysia, she was one of the most enduring artistes to have recorded with the EMI Malaysia. As a tribute, her name was recorded in the '' Malaysian Book of Records'' for her contribution. Personal life Sharifah was born on 2 July 1953, in Singapore. She grew up and started her singing career in Malaysia located at Kampung Melayu Majidee, Johor Bahru. The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore. Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, few provinces in the Philippines and several provinces in Indonesia regularly award honorary and life titles. What follows in this article is specific to the Malaysian system. References to Brunei and Indonesia are given when pertinent. In Malaysia, all non-hereditary titles can be granted to both men and women. Every title has a form of address which can be used by the wife of the title holder. Salmah Ismail
Salmah binti Ismail ( Jawi: سلمه بنت إسماعيل; 22 January 1935 – 25 April 1983), better known by her stage name Saloma, was a Singaporean-Malaysian singer, film actress, trendsetter and a fashion icon who became well known in the late 1950s. Saloma was well known for her singing ability, which was depicted as "lemak merdu", (a full, rather thick but sweet voice). She was signed with EMI music records and since then released numerous EP's such as Dendang Saloma (1957), Bunga Negara (1963) and Aslirama (1972). Some of her most popular songs throughout her career included ‘Selamat Pengantin Baru’ and ‘Bila Larut Malam’. Saloma also ventured in acting careers when she acted in several films such as ''Azimat'' (1958) and ''Kaki Kuda'' (1958). Lung Fibrosis
Pulmonary fibrosis is a condition in which the lungs become scarred over time. Symptoms include shortness of breath, a dry cough, feeling tired, weight loss, and nail clubbing. Complications may include pulmonary hypertension, respiratory failure, pneumothorax, and lung cancer. Causes include environmental pollution, certain medications, connective tissue diseases, infections, and interstitial lung diseases. But in most cases the cause is Idiopathic disease, unknown (idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis). Diagnosis may be based on symptoms, medical imaging, lung biopsy, and lung function tests. No cure exists and treatment options are limited. Treatment is directed toward improving symptoms and may include oxygen therapy and pulmonary rehabilitation.
