Shanley Del
Shanley Del Morris (born 9 November 1962), who performs as Shanley Del, is a New Zealand-born Australian-based country and pop music singer-songwriter. Her second album, ''My Own Sweet Time'' (September 1997), won the ARIA Award for Best Country Album in 1998. Biography Shanley Del Morris was born in Hamilton, New Zealand in 1962, and grew up as the seventh of nine children with three brothers (Alister, Rhys and Tam) and four sisters (Bronte, Maxine, Joanne and Jenny). In 1991 Del moved to Sydney to work as a backing singer for her elder sister, Jenny, who had relocated there ten years earlier. On the strength of her demo tape, "Together Alone", she was signed with rooArt records in 1992 as a solo artist. Her first EP, ''Funnel of Love'', was issued in that year. The title track, " Funnel of Love", is a cover version of Wanda Jackson's 1961 single. Hamilton ( mi, Kirikiriroa) is an inland city in the North Island of New Zealand. Located on the banks of the Waikato River, it is the seat and most populous city of the Waikato, Waikato region. Harry Stinson (musician)
Harry Stinson is an American multi-instrumentalist, noted as a session drummer and vocalist in the Nashville music community. He is also a songwriter and producer. Biography Stinson grew up in Nashville, where he grew to love country music. He was in a high school band with Morris West, son of country star Dottie West. In 1970, Stinson first worked professionally in Dottie West's band the Heartaches, touring with Red Sovine and Don Gibson, and appearing on the Grand Ole Opry. In 1974, Stinson substituted for Willie Leacox for the band America's tour. Silver Then Stinson moved to California, where he joined the band Silver with John Batdorf, Tom Leadon, Brent Mydland, and Greg Collier. Silver had one top 20 hit in 1976 with " Wham Bam." rooArt was an Australian independent record label, founded in 1988 by INXS's then-manager, Chris Murphy. The label's roster included several well-known Australian bands and artists such as Crow, Ratcat, Screaming Jets, You Am I, Wendy Matthews, The Hummingbirds, The Trilobites and Amanda Brown. Other bands which made early or first releases on the rooArt label included Hipslingers, The Last Metro, The Lab, The Fauves, Bellicose and Custard. rooArt released a series of three compilation albums of new or then-unsigned acts, called ''Youngblood''. The Flood are an Australian roots music band formed by Kevin Bennett and James Gillard, with Mark Collins and Doug Bligh.
