Shankar Gobind Chowdhury
Shankar Gobind Chowdhury (died 1997) was a Bangladesh Awami League politician and member of parliament for Natore-2. He was an organizer of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. Career Chowdhury was elected a member of the Pakistan National Assembly in the 1970 elections as a candidate of Awami League. He was also a member of the Constituent Assembly of Bangladesh in 1972. When BAKSAL was introduced in 1975, he was appointed governor of Natore District. Chowdhury was elected to parliament from Natore-2 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate in 1991. Death and legacy Chowdhury died on 13 September 1997. The Bangladesh government posthumously awarded Chowdhury the Independence Day Award in 2018. In November 1991, Prime Minister Khaleda Zia laid the foundation of Natore Stadium. Construction began in 1996 and was completed in 18 months. M Ruhul Quddus Talukder "Dulu" (born 7 September 1962) is a Bangladeshi politician, lawyer, former deputy minister, and member of parliament representing the Natore-2 constituency. He is the organising secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). Dulu was born in Natore Sadar Upazila, Natore District. He was a regular practitioner lawyer. Along with his legal career, he was also active in politics. In 1977, he joined the BNP's student organisation, Chhatra Dal. The Awami League, officially known as Bangladesh Awami League, is a major List of political parties in Bangladesh, political party in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Krishak Sramik Awami League
The Bangladesh Krishak Sramik Awami League (), abbreviated as BaKSAL, was the sole legal ruling party of Bangladesh from January to August 1975. The party comprised politicians from the Awami League, the Communist Party of Bangladesh, the National Awami Party (Muzaffar), Bangladesh National League and Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti. The party advocated for democratic socialism as a part of reforms under the theory of the Second Revolution, which BaKSAL worked to achieve the objectives of. The party was founded on 25 January 1975 by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman following the Fourth Amendment to the constitution.
