Shang Ruihua
Shang Ruihua (born 18 November 1944) is a Chinese football coach, who led the China women's national football team on two separate occasions. He guided the home nation to a quarter final place at the 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup during his first spell in charge from 1987 until 1991. When Élisabeth Loisel was sacked by the Chinese Football Association in 2008, Shang, known as the godfather of Chinese women's football, retook the position after 17 years. The 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup was the inaugural FIFA Women's World Cup, the world championship for women's national association football teams. It took place in Guangdong, China from 16 to 30 November 1991. FIFA, football's international governing body selected China as host nation as Guangdong had hosted a prototype world championship three years earlier, the 1988 FIFA Women's Invitation Tournament. Élisabeth Loisel (born 1 August 1963) is a French former women's soccer, football player and manager. Throughout her career she played for Reims FF, Stade de Reims and VGA Saint-Maur. She was a member of the France women's national football team, French national team between 1980 and her retirement in 1989 at 26. In 1997 she was appointed the French national team's new manager. The women's association football tournament at the 2008 Summer Olympics was held in Beijing and four other cities in China from 6 to 21 August. Associations affiliated with FIFA were invited to send their full women's national teams. For these Games, the women competed in a 12-team tournament. Preliminary matches commenced on 6 August, two days before the Opening Ceremony of the Games. The teams were grouped into three pools of four teams each for a round-robin preliminary round. The 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup was the sixth FIFA Women's World Cup competition, the world championship for women's national association football teams.
