Shane Grice
Shane Grice (born December 20, 1976) is a former American football guard and tight end who played one game in the National Football League (NFL) for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and five seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL) for the Georgia Force. He played college football at Ole Miss. Early life and education Shane Grice was born on December 20, 1976, in Tupelo, Mississippi. He attended Shannon High School, graduating in c. 1997, before joining the Itawamba Community College, where he played one season in football. In 1998, he transferred to the University of Mississippi, where he played three seasons for their Ole Miss Rebels football team. Grice was a starter in 26 games for the Rebels, and helped them have the seventh-fewest sacks given up in the nation as a senior. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. The 2001 NFL Draft was the 66th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible professional football players. The draft, which is officially referred to as the "NFL Player Selection Meeting," was held at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York on April 21–22, 2001. Each team is assigned one pick per round with the order based generally on the reverse order of finish in the previous season with the team with the worst record receiving the first draft slot. Ole Miss Rebels
The Ole Miss Rebels are the 18 men's and women's intercollegiate athletic teams that are funded by and represent the University of Mississippi, located in Oxford. The first was the football team, which began play in 1893. Originally known as the "Mississippi Flood", the teams were renamed the Rebels in 1936. They compete in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)'s Division I, except for the rifle team, which participates in the Great America Rifle Conference because the SEC does not sponsor that sport. Itawamba Community College
Itawamba Community College is a public community college with its main campus in Fulton, Mississippi. Additional campuses are in Belden and Tupelo. History Itawamba Community College began as an extension of Itawamba County Agricultural High School, one of the largest high schools in Mississippi, which was organized in 1920.
